Remove the Barriers Between Children and Learning

Deeply personalized educational consulting and resources that position children to thrive.

How We Can Work Together

Although each circumstance is unique, here are a few of the most common ways in which I work with parents and schools to connect children with learning.

Facilitating more focused and personalized support in school for children with learning differences.

Empowering children with learning differences to feel more seen, heard, and understood at school.

Assessing students for the creation of personalized educational support plans.

Helping children who need a more challenging learning environment so they may reach their full potential.

Supporting families who need a steadfast, fierce advocate for their child within school systems.

Working with families and schools to effectively execute educational support plans for students.

Helping committed school administrators and teachers to empower all children to learn and thrive.

How We Will Work Together

Introductory Conversation

First, we’ll have an open discussion about your current circumstances, how you need support, and how my expertise and background may be of service to you. If we mutually agree we are a fit to work together, will we move forward.

Collaborative Planning

Immediately following our introductory conversation, we will schedule a planning session to discuss your current circumstances. Together we will assess the needs of your student or organization, and build a plan to move forward.

The Work Begins

This is where we make the magic happen. We’re executing what we have determined is in the best interests of your student or organization to realize your vision — with attentive support throughout the entire process.

Because I was placed in the perfect middle school and high school for me, I thrived and connected with my learning in a way that has inspired me for the entirety of my life. My love of learning has inspired every single choice I make in my life on a daily basis.  When your child is not connected in their learning environment, that door of life’s infinite possibilities becomes closed. If a child is not connected to their learning, they are set on a path toward lack of choice, lack of advocacy, and lack of being seen. So, it is of paramount importance to me that every child is given a chance to walk through that door. Because every child is capable of learning, regardless of learning difference, socioeconomic status, or race.

How Long We Will Work Together

I am committed to working with you to most effectively and efficiently achieve the outcomes you’re looking for, when it comes to empowering a child to thrive in their learning environment.

To that end, there may be instances in our work together when we may need to pivot, recenter our focus, or spend more time on certain parts of our work. This is why I provide ranges of time for our work together above, rather than a more specific timeline. When we meet to discuss your needs, we’ll talk more specifically about what a timeline may look like for you.

  • “Collette is always there. She’s accessible – she and her team. I can call her anytime of the day. She responds incredibly well, digitally. She makes time – her entire team makes time for you. So in short, I would say that my experience was not only satisfying, but it was extremely successful.”

DEIA Catalyst + Educator

Many may know me as a fourth-generation educator who made the choice as a trained litigator to transition into the educational and DEIA spaces. For more than 15 years, I have passionately served as an “educational support conduit” for schools, classroom educators, parents, administrators, and the students they serve.

Today, as the founder of Zinn, The Onyx Movement, and Private School Axis, I seek to bring humanity, connection, and humility to the work of connecting children with learning, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and accountability. Yes, there is work to be done, and I am excited to see what we can achieve together.
